The Comforts of Cinderella

This began as an idea that was a combination of of multipule Drawtober2020 promts: Midnight feast, Carvings and Folklore. When I first read through the prompts I imediatly thought of Cinderella, due to the connotations with Midnight, and wondered as a poor yet resourceful girl, who owns nothing but rags, I always thought it odd that she wouldn't use everything out of that pumkin as she could. Also, she has bird friends so why didn't she send them back for her forgotten shoe? It's not like they couldn't handle it, they helped with her pink dress and the shoe is made of magic glass so surely it wouldn't be heavy. This further built into a story concept about her making her own way out of poverty by becoming a Chef by baking pumkin pies by night and delivering in secret to customers via her animal companions.
